The following discussion is based on a Declaration of Trust effected in 1977 by Mary and her late husband, Roy, which they purchased from the Institute. In 1994, the author’s services were retained to assist Mary’s attorney in extricating her from the Declaration of Trust and to design and implement an effective estate plan for her.
